Before Covid-19 I met my husband at a local café. I would occasionally see these two ladies walking together. Always deep in conversation. As a photographer, they intrigued me. One very bright day there they were, sitting on a park bench deep in conversation. I loved the umbrella and the bright sky and dark shadows. It all just fit.

What captured my attention were the shirts. The bright red to peach to white with a design. They balanced the stark space and art work on the wall.

They were so cute. Her with her dress of rabbits and him with his shirt of cranes. They just stood there waiting for the elevator so I snapped a shot. I enjoy how photos taken under low light comes out with blurs. They are so fun to work with later.

I was sitting on a bus in Lisbon headed for the tile museum. A young woman sat across from me with these incredible finger nails. She gladly posed from me.

Blue Nun, San Juan Capistrano, California

There's a photo of my grandfather sitting by the pond in the garden here. I was a baby. The California missions have been a part of my life. I am mixed on the history behind these places of worship though I still love to visit them. The nun was listening to a taped tour in French as she walked passed me. I felt that she worked well in this setting so I took a photo of her. Since the missions are privately owned photographers are not allowed to sell photos taken at them. Artists can sell their paintings, but photographers no. So...if you are interested in this shot I can make a print for you at the cost of the print (plus S&H).
